Players of the Year Announced for Various GAA Cups
The players of the year for the Tailteann Cup, Joe McDonagh, Christy Ring, Nickey Rackard, and Lory Meagher Cups were announced at a banquet at Croke Park.
The Tailteann Cup footballer of the Year is Kildare's Alex Beirne, who played a starring role in his team's campaign, scoring 3-33.
Sean Glynn of London was named the Christy Ring Cup Player of the Year and was presented with his award by Uachtarán Chumann Lúthchleas Gael Jarlath Burns and GPA Chief Executive Officer Tom Parsons.
The award ceremony took place at Croke Park in Dublin, recognizing the outstanding performances of players in the respective championships.
Alex Beirne was also named at centre forward on the Tailteann Cup team of the year, in recognition of his contribution to the Lilywhites' push for silverware and promotion.
