A Strong Storm Threat for the Weekend
Storms will be the strongest late Saturday night.
A weak cold front brings the next storm threat for the weekend, followed by much drier air and slightly cooler temperatures. Saturday will be very warm with highs in the mid to upper 80s and high humidity through the afternoon.
A few storms are possible during the day, but not likely. If a storm is seen on Saturday afternoon, it should move on quickly. The higher threat for storms will arrive overnight Saturday into Sunday morning along a cold front.
A few of those storms may become strong to severe, with a low-end severe threat. Any storm that does become severe has a damaging wind threat.
Much drier air arrives for Sunday and into the start of next week, with highs falling to the lower 80s by Monday. Another front will arrive on Wednesday, bringing another shot of dry air and slightly cooler temperatures.
