Trio Arrested in Drive-By Shooting

A drive-by shooting incident occurred near Merry Hill on October 14, resulting in the arrest of three men from Bertie County, according to The Roanoke-Chowan News-Herald.

Bertie County Sheriff Tyrone Ruffin reported that Molique Dedmand and Kiyuntae Zyleek Allen, both 19-year-old residents of Aulander, and Ty Nelson Dorsey Lee, a 20-year-old from Kelford, are being held without bond at the Bertie-Martin Regional Jail.

According to Sheriff Ruffin, deputies responded to a residence on NC Highway 45 in Merry Hill at around 2:30 a.m. and recovered 37 spent shell casings from the surrounding area.
