BYD Orders Massive Recall of Over 115,000 EVs
BYD, a leading Chinese electric vehicle manufacturer, has announced its largest recall to date, affecting over 115,000 cars due to safety risks tied to design and battery issues.
- 44,535 Tang series SUVs built between March 2015 and July 2017 are being recalled due to design flaws that could cause malfunctions.
- 71,248 Yuan Pro electric cars made between February 2021 and August 2022 are being recalled due to problems in battery installation that could increase fire risk.

BYD has filed a plan to replace parts and update systems free of charge. The recall was announced by China's market watchdog, the State Administration for Market Regulation (SAMR).
