Meghalaya Karatekas Shine at 4th North East Zone Championship
The All Meghalaya Karate-Do Association (AMKA) produced a stellar performance at the 4th North East Zone Karate Championship 2025, held from October 11–12 in Itanagar, Arunachal Pradesh.
The team returned home with an impressive 62 medals — including 12 Gold, 11 Silver, and 39 Bronze.

A strong contingent of 108 karatekas, along with seven team officials and eight technical officials, represented Meghalaya across various divisions — Sub-Junior, Cadet, Junior, U-21, and Senior.
This outing is considered one of the state’s most successful in recent memory.
