Two men were killed in execution-style shootings near Pennypack Park in the Holmesburg section of the city, police said.

According to police, the shootings took place early Saturday at 4:12 a.m. near Enfield and Solly Avenues. The victims, aged 35 and 39, were found with no vital signs and were pronounced dead by the Philadelphia Fire Department Medic Unit at 4:22 a.m.

A witness, a woman whose relationship to the victims is unclear, reported hearing two gunshots and seeing a man point a firearm at her and ask for a bag. When she did not provide a bag, the man and a companion drove away, she told police.

Police said the men were shot in the head and had their hands zip-tied behind their backs, as reported by Shaun Butts at the scene.
