Sheinbaum Unveils Flood Website and Responds to Fitch Criticism

President Claudia Sheinbaum presented a new government website and addressed Fitch's criticism at her Thursday morning press conference.

A new website has been created by the federal government to compile data related to recent flooding in Veracruz, Hidalgo, Puebla, Querétaro, and San Luis Potosí.

The website, displayed during Sheinbaum's mañanera, is headed "Impacts from rain and floods caused by Tropical Disturbance 90-E". As of 3:30 p.m. Thursday, it reported 70 deaths in rain and flooding-related incidents: 30 in Veracruz, 21 in Hidalgo, 18 in Puebla, and 1 in Querétaro.

Sheinbaum also stated that Mexico's relationship with the United States is "very good" and responded to Fitch's opinion on her latest reform, saying they are "wrong".
