EA has announced that Battlefield 6 has sold over 7 million copies in its first week, marking the biggest launch in the franchise's history.
According to a press release, the game "hit all-time highs for franchise sales during the first three days of launch", with 172 million matches played online during that weekend.
Byron Beede, general manager of the Battlefield franchise, says this is "just the beginning" for the game, with the first season just twelve days away.
Executive VP Vince Zampella expressed his "sincere gratitude" to Battlefield fans, looking forward to what's to come "in the weeks ahead".
