Arrests Made in Tulare After Stolen Property Discovered

A Porterville home burglary earlier this month led to two arrests in Tulare. On Oct. 3, Porterville police responded to a home on Mill Avenue, near Putnam Avenue, after a homeowner reported a break-in and theft of over $12,000 worth of property, mostly power tools.

Investigators followed the trail and discovered the stolen items were being sold in Tulare. On Oct. 9, they visited the home of 40-year-old Monica Paniagua on South Morrison Street, where they found some of the items matching the burglary report.

Detectives then visited Gomez's home on East Colleen Court, resulting in the arrests.

No comment from the authorities or the suspects was available.
