IUCN World Conservation Congress Concludes in Abu Dhabi

The IUCN World Conservation Congress closed today in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, setting the vision for nature conservation for the next 20 years.

Held in the UAE for the first time, the Congress took place under the patronage of President of the United Arab Emirates, His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

The 2025 IUCN Congress brought together over 10,000 attendees, on-site and online, and hosted a World Summit of Indigenous Peoples and Nature for the first time.
