Incident at Drents Museum

A Romanian man, identified as Andrei B., sneaked into the Drents Museum five days before the theft of the Cotofenești Helmet and Dacian gold bracelets.

According to Dutch press, Andrei B. is believed to have connections with a gang that steals works of art on commission, but it is unclear if he was involved in the theft.

The investigative team suspected that the man may have conducted a preliminary investigation before the actual break-in.

Andrei B. entered the museum on January 20 without a ticket, carrying a large sports bag, and headed towards the exhibition "Dacia, the Empire of Silver and Gold".

He is not currently under arrest and is not one of the three suspects in the art theft, who will appear in court for a preliminary hearing.
