AI-Powered NHS Pharmacy to Become National Dispensing Hub
PillTime, an AI-powered pharmacy, is launching a Monitored Dosage System (MDS) hub to support community pharmacists nationwide.
Legislation that came into effect on 1 October 2025 allows pharmacies to engage in 'hub and spoke' dispensing across different legal entities, enabling them to outsource their dispensing, including MDS services.
- PillTime has rolled out a pilot programme, allowing community pharmacies to trial an MDS partnership using a select number of patients.
- The pharmacy uses AI and robotics to pouch medications.
