Trump Awards Charlie Kirk with Medal of Freedom
President Donald Trump posthumously awarded Charlie Kirk, a political activist, with the Presidential Medal of Freedom.
The ceremony was held in the White House's Rose Garden on what would have been Kirk's 32nd birthday. Erika Kirk, Charlie's widow and CEO of Turning Point USA, accepted the award on his behalf.
Trump called Kirk a "fearless warrior for liberty" and credited him with helping him win back the White House.
During his speech, Trump also spoke out against radical left violence, stating that Kirk was assassinated for boldly speaking the truth.
