Puppy Stolen from Fairfield Pet Store
A 12-week-old puppy is missing after a woman ran out of a Fairfield pet store with the animal, according to the Fairfield Police Department.
Videos and photos show the woman running out of Petland with the Yorkie puppy inside her bag, the pet store says.
- The incident occurred at the Petland on Dixie Highway around 7:20 p.m.
- The woman got into a white SUV near the back of a nearby UDF and drove away.
- The Yorkie puppy, named Toto, is valued at $4,099, according to police.
The woman, wearing a mask and pajama pants, initially walked into Petland with a large white bag at 7:15 p.m. and asked to visit with the puppy.
The dog behind the glass was confirmed to be a black and tan Yorkie.
