A 35-year-old woman was allegedly approached by an individual making anti-LGBTQ+ remarks in the East New York neighborhood of Brooklyn.
The incident occurred on October 5, at approximately 3 p.m., on the corner of New Lots Avenue. The individual allegedly hit the woman in the arm with a chair and then fled the scene in a white Jeep Compass.
The victim sustained minor injuries but did not receive medical attention. The NYPD’s Hate Crime Task Force is investigating the incident.
As of October 14, there have been no updates on the alleged incident, according to an NYPD spokesperson.
No arrests have been made.
