Despite the desire to be environmentally friendly, AI data centers face energy challenges.
In southwest Wyoming, a new AI data center from Prometheus Hyperscale is being planned. The company's founder and CEO, Trenton Thornock, has a personal connection to the land, having spent summers there riding and moving cattle.

Thornock is exploring ways to power the data center, including using solar panels. A weather station has been set up to measure sunlight and determine the best angle for the panels.
Prometheus Hyperscale is considering potential big tech customers like Google, Meta, or OpenAI.
