Meghalaya achieved their first win in the U-19 men's Vinoo Mankad Trophy 2025-26, defeating Arunachal Pradesh by 71 runs in the plate group in Chandigarh.
After choosing to bat first, Meghalaya was all out for 137 in 40.3 overs. They then dismissed Arunachal for just 66 in 17.3 overs.
Without Angkit, Meghalaya’s innings would have looked very different as he was the rock for the team on Monday.
Angkit Tamang played a crucial role, batting patiently and facing 124 deliveries, hitting six fours and one six to finish the innings unbeaten with 67 runs.
