Statewide center at USF launches Florida’s first-of-its-kind interactive dashboard addressing behavioral health workforce shortage

Florida Launches Interactive Dashboard to Address Behavioral Health Workforce Shortage

The Florida Center for Behavioral Health Workforce (FCBHW) at the University of South Florida has launched a first-of-its-kind interactive dashboard to project behavioral health workforce supply and demand through 2035.

This dashboard is designed to help policymakers, providers, educators, and advocates address the critical shortage of behavioral health professionals in Florida.

“Florida now has a way to see not just where the workforce stands today, but where it’s headed,”

said Julie Serovich, dean of the USF College of Behavioral and Community Sciences. The launch comes ahead of Florida Behavioral Health Day on Oct. 15, which highlights the need to close access gaps and prepare the state’s workforce for the future.
