Kangra schoolkids interact with Cameroon students

As many as 32 students from Girls Government Senior Secondary School (GSSS), Indora, and PM Shri Government Senior Secondary School, Gangath, in Himachal Pradesh’s Kangra district took part in an online International Cultural Exchange Meet held via Google Meet.

Students from Cameroon, a Central African country, joined the interaction along with their teacher Robert Kenfack, creating a shared virtual classroom across continents.

Purpose of the interaction

The session aimed to help schoolchildren from India and Cameroon learn about each other’s cultures, daily life, and interests.

Principal Mohan Sharma of Girls GSSS, Indora, explained that such international interactions are planned to nurture a sense of global citizenship among students.

The programme also focused on building students’ communication skills and encouraging mutual understanding and respect between young people from different nations.

“Such global interactions are organised with an objective to develop global citizenship, communication skills and understanding.”
