Actor Pierce Brosnan has reunited with his estranged son Christopher after two decades of separation caused by Christopher’s long struggle with drug addiction. The reconciliation took place during a family dinner in London, where Brosnan was seen alongside Christopher and his biological son Dylan.
"They both looked happy and relaxed while sitting down with one of Brosnan's other sons, Dylan. Pierce and Christopher's problems have been well documented. But it seems they've managed to put them behind them. It was really nice to see them together."
Christopher had previously battled cocaine and heroin addiction and once suffered a coma due to an overdose. In 2005, Brosnan admitted that his son’s addiction had reached a point where he had to distance himself for his own well-being.
"Christopher is still very lost. I know where he is, but he's having a hard life. I can only have strong faith and believe he will recover. He has tested everybody in this family but none more so than himself. He doesn't want to."
"It's painful because you shut down. You never completely cut them off, but I have cut Christopher off. Get busy living, or get busy dying. He has my prayers."
Now aged 73, Brosnan appears to have mended his relationship with his son, sharing a quiet moment that signaled healing after years of distance and sorrow.
