Witney Carson, who won season 19 of Dancing With the Stars over ten years ago, is pursuing her second mirrorball trophy. She earned her first title with current co-host Alfonso Ribeiro and then competed again in season 21 when Bindi Irwin joined the show, winning alongside judge Derek Hough.
Her younger brother, Robert Irwin, supported her from a young age, being only 11 when she took home her first mirrorball trophy. Reflecting on their new partnership, Witney shared with The Hollywood Reporter that she
“never in a million years”expected to dance with Robert when they first met a decade ago. She added,
“It never crossed my mind, but now that it’s happened, it feels right.”
Before partnering with Robert, Witney had already made a strong name for herself as one of DWTS’s most respected professional dancers, despite having just one championship title. She attributes part of her success to her viral choreography and the ability to balance her demanding dance career with motherhood.
Witney revealed that Robert’s upcoming dances will honor his sister’s achievements, making their partnership especially meaningful. Looking ahead, she shared her intentions for pursuing goals after season 34 concludes.
Witney Carson embraces a unique opportunity to dance with her brother Robert Irwin on DWTS, blending family legacy with her passion for dance and motherhood, aiming for a second championship.
