The Dallas Stars rallied from a two-goal deficit to defeat the Ottawa Senators 3–2 in overtime on Tuesday, with Roope Hintz netting the game-winner at 3:04 of the extra period.
Mikko Rantanen and Jason Robertson also found the net for Dallas, which dominated the third period with a 16–6 shot advantage. Robertson tied the game on a power play, beating Linus Ullmark on the glove side after sustained offensive pressure.
Ullmark made 30 saves in total, including several key stops, but couldn’t hold off the Stars’ surge. Jake Oettinger stood tall for Dallas, turning aside 27 shots and keeping Ottawa scoreless after the first period.
“Drake Batherson opened the scoring 49 seconds into the game, taking a pass from Jake Sanderson and wiring a wrister from the faceoff circle.”
Nick Jensen doubled the Senators’ lead midway through the first, slipping a shot past Oettinger’s shoulder. However, the Senators lost defenseman Thomas Chabot to an upper-body injury late in the opening frame and played the rest of the game without him.
Roope Hintz led Dallas to a dramatic 3–2 overtime comeback over Ottawa, sealing the win after the Stars erased a two-goal deficit and dominated late.
