Jetstar is expanding its Adelaide network by reintroducing flights to Melbourne Avalon Airport, with promotional one-way fares starting at $29. The service will resume on 26 March 2026, offering South Australian travelers a new affordable and convenient gateway to Victoria.
The low-cost airline plans to operate up to seven weekly return flights, adding approximately 109,000 new low-fare seats annually. This reconnects South Australia with Victoria’s Surf Coast, Bellarine Peninsula, and Geelong regions. Jetstar will operate the route using Airbus A320 aircraft.
To celebrate the relaunch, the $29 sale fares become available from 11:30am (ACDT) today. These limited-time prices mirror the airline’s launch fares from over twenty years ago and are expected to sell out quickly.
“These new flights to Melbourne Avalon Airport provide South Australians with greater opportunities to take advantage of our low fares and are part of a significant increase in flights in and out of Adelaide this year,” said Jetstar CEO Stephanie Tully.
“It’s now easier and more affordable than ever to access Victoria’s popular Surf Coast, Bellarine Peninsula wine region, Geelong and Melbourne.”
Jetstar’s return to this route marks a post-pandemic revival, offering more travel choices and budget-friendly options for South Australians heading to Victoria.
Summary: Jetstar resumes Adelaide-Melbourne Avalon flights with $29 fares, increasing travel options and affordable connectivity between South Australia and Victoria.
