The DP World Tour travels to the Middle East for the Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship at Yas Links, where Masters champion Rory McIlroy leads a star-studded lineup. The Northern Irish golfer is aiming for his seventh Race to Dubai title and enters the first of two playoff events with a comfortable advantage over England’s Marco Penge.
“I’m not too nervous about playing alongside the best player of my generation,” said Penge, who added that he hopes to outdrive McIlroy on the first tee.
McIlroy will tee off in the first round on Thursday at 7:17 a.m. local time (3:17 a.m. GMT), playing in the morning group with Tyrrell Hatton and Marco Penge. Their second-round tee time will take place on Friday afternoon.
Golf journalist Ben Smith, who joined GolfMagic in September 2021, provided full coverage of the tournament and detailed the official tee times.
