The American Hockey League (AHL) regular season is underway. The Utah Mammoths have started strong with a seven-game winning streak, while their affiliate, the Tucson Roadrunners, have had a notable but mixed start. In October, the Roadrunners posted a 3-4-1 record, with six of those eight games played at home at the Tucson Convention Center. Currently, the team holds fifth place in the Pacific Division.
The Roadrunners started their season on the road by splitting a two-game series with the Ontario Reign. They then went 2-3-1 during a home stretch against Calgary, Manitoba, and Bakersfield. Offense, which was a challenge last season, has improved significantly with the addition of several new players.
Halfway through the six-game homestand, six players were at or above a point per game rate.
Though the scoring pace slowed toward the end of the month, the offense remains impressive, especially considering six new players joined the team this season.
One of the early season highlights has been the performance of Daniil But. His contributions have been among the most noteworthy this October.
Author’s summary: The Tucson Roadrunners started their 2025 AHL season with a challenging but promising month, showing strong offensive potential despite new team additions.
