National police chief Listyo Sigit Prabowo stated that a 17-year-old student is the suspected perpetrator. The teenager was also injured in the incident and is currently undergoing surgery. Investigators, including bomb squad technicians, are examining the site to collect evidence.

“Regarding the motive, we are currently investigating various kinds of information,” said Listyo Sigit Prabowo during a press conference.
