Veteran Labor powerbroker and Sky News contributor Graham Richardson passed away on Saturday at the age of 76. His death has prompted heartfelt tributes from political colleagues and friends alike.

Prime Minister Anthony Albanese honored Richardson on Saturday, remembering his counsel and camaraderie.
“He’s someone who I often got advice from and he was always worth listening to,” Albanese said. “He was very much loved within the Labor Party, but also more broadly. Everyone who worked with him respected his intellect, his ability to cut through, and his deep understanding of politics.”
Albanese described Richardson as a companion known for his warmth and loyalty.
“Graham was someone who was incredibly loyal. He was loyal to me as Labor leader,” he added.
The Prime Minister also recalled his personal connection with Richardson, describing him as “a champion of the long lunch.”
“I'll miss our lunches at the Malaya; we tried to catch up at least once a year,” Albanese reflected.
