Nicole Kidman, Jude Law and More Who Didn’t Let Lacking a High School Diploma Derail Their Success

Stars Who Found Success Without a High School Diploma

Some celebrities succeeded despite not finishing high school. Jeremy Allen White, star of The Bear, recently shared a touching moment involving an old teacher at the NYC premiere of his film Springsteen: Deliver Me From Nowhere.

Jeremy Allen White’s Unexpected Graduation

On the October 23 episode of Live with Kelly and Mark, White revealed he didn’t do well in school because he frequently missed classes at the Professional Performing Arts School and never graduated.

“I wasn’t a good student because I didn’t go to school enough.”

After the screening, his teacher surprised him with a gift — his high school diploma. At 34 years old, he officially graduated.

“And I was like, ‘Ah, you don’t have to do this, this is crazy, what are you giving me a gift for?’ And I open it up, and it is my high school diploma. So… at 34 years old, I graduated high school!”

Nicole Kidman’s Reflection on Dropping Out

Nicole Kidman, who holds two Oscars, shared her regrets about leaving school early. On 60 Minutes, the 51-year-old explained she did not finish high school but still treasures some of her teachers.

“I’m a high school dropout, which I’m not proud to say. I had some teachers that I still think of fondly and were amazing to me.”

By age 15, Kidman was focused on becoming an actress and relocated to Los Angeles to pursue her career.

Summary
