2026 Grammy Award Nominations Announced

Five productions compete for the 2026 Grammy Award for Best Musical Theater Album, a category honoring excellence in both performance and production:

More than 40 albums were submitted for consideration in this field, underscoring the vibrant state of contemporary musical theater recordings.
Buena Vista Social Club’s Creative Team
“As the producers of the original Broadway cast recording, Marco Paguia, Dean Sharenow and David Yazbek are the individual nominees on behalf of ‘Buena Vista Social Club.’”
Marco Paguia, who also serves as orchestrator, arranger, and music director of the production, earned a 2025 Tony Award for Best Orchestrations and a Special Tony for his contributions as a member of the onstage band. David Yazbek acts as creative consultant, while Dean Sharenow oversees the project as musical supervisor.
