Allseas has won a contract to install a deepwater export pipeline for Shell, aiming to greatly improve oil transport capacity, flexibility, and efficiency in the central Gulf of America, USA.

Allseas noted that the Rome Pipeline is part of a larger effort to upgrade and expand Gulf of Mexico export infrastructure, building on previous projects like the Amberjack Debottleneck Project completed in 2016.
