Motherwell defeated at Hampden Park

St Mirren secured a dominant 4–1 victory over Motherwell in the first Premier Sports Cup semi-final held at Hampden Park on Saturday evening. A crowd of 21,277 witnessed the Saints book their place in the final.

Mikael Mandron opened the scoring after 25 minutes with a close-range strike following a corner. Dan Nlundulu doubled the advantage before halftime with a powerful effort from the edge of the area.

Callum Hendry pulled one back for Motherwell with seven minutes remaining, briefly reviving their hopes. However, Richard King quickly restored St Mirren’s two-goal cushion before Mandron sealed a convincing win late in the match.

Stephen Robinson’s team will now face either Celtic or Rangers in the final on Sunday, December 14.
