Ukraine has reported successfully stopping the Russian push north of Pokrovsk, a significant logistics hub in Donetsk Oblast. The city remains partially surrounded by Russian forces and continues to experience intense fighting.
The 7th Rapid Response Corps of Ukraine’s Air Assault Forces stated: "Assault and special operations units blocked an attempt to cut the supply route between Pokrovsk and nearby Rodynske, killing 19 Russian soldiers."
Myrnohrad, crucial for defending Pokrovsk’s northern flank, remains under pressure. The 7th Rapid Response Corps described the conditions there as "tense but not critical" and confirmed that additional Ukrainian units have reinforced the area.
The situation inside Pokrovsk and its southern outskirts remains uncertain, with reports suggesting the battle for control is intensifying. Open-source platforms like DeepState Map and recent media coverage highlight escalating hostilities both within and around the city.
"We are closely monitoring the situation in Pokrovsk, with reports of further deterioration in the city for Ukraine's embattled forces," said Jared Goyette reporting from Kyiv.
Despite fierce battles, Ukrainian forces have managed to halt a crucial Russian advance north of Pokrovsk and reinforce key defensive positions, although the fighting remains intense and fluid.
