According to authorities, Brown’s troubles began last May during an exhibition fight between social media influencers in Miami. The former player allegedly started the conflict by striking another man.
The Washington Post reported that police obtained video footage showing Brown taking a firearm from a security guard, chasing the man he had hit, and firing two shots. The victim later told investigators that the bullets grazed his neck. Brown then reportedly escaped the scene before law enforcement arrived.

“U.S. Marshals, working with the Miami-Dade State Attorney’s Office, issued an arrest warrant and located him in Dubai,” a Miami-Dade Police spokesperson stated.
“We knew this because he was posting videos of himself riding a bike, seemingly laughing, in the city of Miami,” the spokesperson added.
Brown’s own online activity provided the crucial clues that helped investigators identify his location and bring him into custody.
