Netflix has released the first five minutes of the final season of Stranger Things, ahead of its November debut. This preview sets the tone with a nostalgic throwback to November 1983, the year the first season is set.
De-Aged Will Faces the Demogorgon
The clip shows a CGI-de-aged Will Byers (Noah Schnapp) fleeing from a tree-climbing Demogorgon. Unlike before, the monster can now climb trees, adding another layer of terror. During the chase, the Demogorgon calms Will with a surprising moment, singing The Clash's “Should I Stay or Should I Go.”
Despite taking a shot to the face, the Demogorgon remains unfazed. Will falls from a tree and loses consciousness on the ground.
Return to the Dark Shadows
While Will is unconscious, the Demogorgon drags him away to Vecna (Jamie Campbell Bower), hinting at the dark forces at play behind the scenes.
