Brisbane Broncos will face Hull Kingston Rovers in the World Club Challenge on February 20 (AEDT), marking the official return of the celebrated interleague event.
The NRL champions from Australia will meet the Super League champions from England at MKM Stadium in Hull. The venue was chosen due to its larger capacity compared to Hull KR's home ground, which holds around 11,000 spectators.
The World Club Challenge, a battle between the NRL and Super League titleholders, has taken place only three times in the last six years. After Penrith declined to participate following their 2024 NRL championship, Brisbane revived the competition by agreeing to travel to England.
The upcoming match will be Brisbane’s first chance to reclaim the title in more than 30 years. For Hull KR, this fixture is historic—it marks their first game against Australian opposition in four decades.
