Former football star Alex Scott is reportedly set to join this year's lineup of celebrities heading to Australia for I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here. This move could mark a significant step in her career beyond sports and broadcasting.
Alex Scott, 41, made her mark as an England international footballer, playing for clubs such as Arsenal, Birmingham City, and teams in the United States. She earned 140 caps for England and competed as part of Team GB during the London 2012 Olympics. After retiring from professional football, Alex transitioned successfully into television punditry, including appearances on Match of the Day and other BBC programs.
Beyond her public career, Alex's personal life has had its moments in the spotlight. In 2020, she reportedly went on a candlelit date with Coronation Street actor Sam Robertson at a high-end Soho restaurant in London. However, the outing did not go as smoothly as hoped.
“I never seem to have a lot of luck on dates,” Alex reflected. “My one date in ages was going out with Sam [Robertson], who is lovely.”
Alex added, “The next morning, our pictures were all over the press because someone in the restaurant had taken a photo.”
Alex Scott is preparing for a new adventure on I'm A Celebrity, showing her versatility beyond sports and broadcasting, while her personal stories reveal the reality behind the celebrity image.
