“I’ve always had a testimony of Jesus Christ,” Caussé said in a press release. “He’s always been in the center of my life. And I know He’s our Savior and Redeemer. What a wonderful thing it is to be a witness of Christ. That’s the best responsibility or stewardship we might have in our lives.”
The Church explains that Apostles are “special witnesses of the name of Christ throughout the world.” They carry significant administrative duties, overseeing the growth and operations of the global Church.
Gérald Caussé, age 62, was born in Bordeaux, France, and has served the Church in various capacities, including as Presiding Bishop.
