The Las Vegas Raiders may have to search for a new kicker after the 2025 NFL season as Daniel Carlson appears to have lost his consistent form.
Over the years, the Raiders—both in Oakland and Las Vegas—have featured many iconic kickers. George Blanda set the stage for Sebastian Janikowski, and two years after Janikowski retired, the Raiders discovered Daniel Carlson midway through the 2018 season.
Carlson quickly won over Raider fans, earning the nickname "Cash Money Carlson" thanks to his accuracy and the team’s frequent reliance on him in clutch moments. For many years, he consistently delivered.
However, Carlson’s success has notably declined, especially during the 2025 season where he hasn't appeared in top form.
Meanwhile, Jaguars’ second-year kicker Cam Little made headlines by setting an NFL record with a 68-yard field goal to end the first half.
Head coach Pete Carroll admitted the frustration during his postgame media availability.
The Raiders face a pressing dilemma as Carlson’s once-reliable kicking has faltered in 2025, signaling the need for a potential change in their kicker position.
