The Golden Globes to Honor Helen Mirren with the Cecil B. DeMille Award
The Golden Globes have announced that Helen Mirren will receive the prestigious Cecil B. DeMille Award during the “Golden Eve” primetime special on January 8. The honor recognizes her remarkable six-decade career and her lasting influence on film, television, and theater.

Mirren began her journey in the performing arts at the U.K.’s National Youth Theatre when she was 18. Over the years, she has brought a wide range of characters to life—from Lady Macbeth in the Royal Shakespeare Company’s 1974 production to Queen Elizabeth II in the acclaimed 2006 film The Queen.
Alongside the DeMille Award, the Carol Burnett Award will also be presented to another honoree during the same “Golden Eve” broadcast.
