Chandrababu Naidu announced the launch of a mobile application to detect fake liquor bottles.
The app allows users to scan holograms on bottles and verify authenticity, aiming to curb spurious liquor sales.
Naidu said spurious liquor had caused thousands of deaths under the previous regime.
Naidu virtually inaugurated the Smart Street Vending Market at Mypadu Gate in Nellore, a ₹7-crore project with 120 modern shops.
Naidu praised the Municipal Administration Department, MEPMA, and Nellore Municipal Corporation for executing the initiative.
He called it “an early Diwali for the people of Nellore.”
Naidu reiterated his government’s commitment to empowering women and differently-abled persons through transparent shop allotments.
