Plane Crash Kills One in Milton

One person died and another was seriously injured after a plane crashed into a driveway in Milton. The pilot, Frederick Barber, 58, of Port Charlotte, Florida, was killed in the accident. The passenger, Alexander Hoff, 39, from Hollis, New Hampshire, sustained serious injuries and was taken to Albany Medical Center.

The crash occurred on November 6, 2025, at 10:24 am on Wyndham Way, a residential area in the Town of Milton. Multiple emergency services responded, including nine fire departments, three police agencies, Community EMS, Saratoga County Office of Emergency Management, and the Saratoga County Hazardous Material Team.

Official Statement

"The plane is believed to have struck a tree before dropping into the driveway of a residence. Although the crash was first reported as a structure fire with entrapment, responders found that the fire was outside the home and the structure was not affected," said Saratoga County Sheriff Mike Zurlo.

The occupants of the house were not injured and evacuated safely.
