“It’s ranging from a grandmother to a single mum to a barber to a self-confessed bogan.”She highlighted the wide age range spanning five decades and the variety of backgrounds among participants.
The housemates include both blue-collar and white-collar workers, reflecting a broad spectrum of society. Unlike other Australian reality shows, Tracina emphasized Big Brother’s open approach to casting:
“Housemates don’t need to fit certain criteria to be in the house. You don’t need to be physically or mentally strong, like you would [on] Survivor.”
