The iconic reality show Big Brother Australia is making a comeback on Channel 10 with a fresh and exciting season. The show's host, Mel Tracina, shared insights about what fans can expect from this revival.
Though the final contestant list remains confidential and may still change, Mel revealed to The Watchlist that the age range spans "across five decades." She described the lineup as diverse, featuring a mix including "a grandmother, a single mum, a barber, and a self-confessed bogan." The cast includes both blue-collar and white-collar workers, emphasizing variety.
“You don’t need to fit certain criteria to be in the house. You don’t need to be physically or mentally strong, like you would [on] Survivor. You don’t need to be single, like you would on MAFS,” Mel explained.
This accessible approach to casting contributes to the show's distinct charm and broad audience appeal.
Big Brother Australia's 2025 season promises a refreshing mix of diverse contestants and an inclusive format, reviving the beloved reality series with a unique and accessible approach.
