Two Stunning Poppy Displays Installed in Loughborough Ahead of Remembrance Sunday

Charnwood is located at the center of the triangle formed by Nottingham, Leicester, and Derby. Over one third of its 155,000+ population resides in the thriving university town of Loughborough.

Tribute to Fallen Heroes

As Remembrance Sunday approaches, two striking poppy displays have been set up in Loughborough to honor those who sacrificed their lives. These displays are placed on trees in Queen’s Park and the Forest Road Greenbelt.

Each tree is adorned with approximately 6,500 handmade, knitted poppies.
The project is led by Loughborough in Bloom and the Forest Road Greenbelt Gardeners.
Support has come from various volunteering groups and individuals.
The installations were completed ahead of the Remembrance Sunday service on 9 November in Queen’s Park.
