TransLink will provide free transit in recognition of Remembrance Day to veterans and active military personnel on Tuesday, November 11.
To qualify for free transit, eligible individuals can show their badge, military ID, Veteran’s Service Card, or be in uniform.
TransLink also formally acknowledges National Indigenous Veterans Day on Saturday, November 8, in honour of the sacrifices made by Indigenous veterans, and their role in supporting peace and security around the world.
The Royal Canadian Legion will distribute poppies by donation at various transit hubs throughout Metro Vancouver.
Customers are encouraged to use public transit to attend Remembrance Day ceremonies held across the region.
