Marines from the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit and sailors serving aboard the USS Tripoli returned to the United States on Wednesday. They wrapped up tours assigned to the 5th and 7th Fleets. Around that same period, several Marines and sailors stationed in Okinawa arrived back in Japan after missions tied to the Iran situation. The Tripoli pulled in at its home port in Okinawa, wrapping up its deployment. The U.S. Marines and the Royal Australian Air Force completed joint drills at Dyess under the Trident Fury program this week. In Vancouver, the police marine unit recovered a newborn seal pup that was found by itself.
