Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada has halted taking new applications for parents and grandparents sponsorship. Families can no longer submit forms to bring elderly relatives to Canada. The government provided no update on when or the suspension will end. New changes to immigration rules came just before the shutdown. This week data on work permit delays was published.
