The Canadian Football League said it refuses to let quarterback Brendan Sorsby to join any franchise for the 2026 season.
The league released the decision on Friday, June 26, 2026.

The CFL said every team are barred from signing Sorsby this year.
The National Football League also spurned Sorsby's request to enter the Supplemental Draft.

With both leagues closed, the Cincinnati Enquirer noted that Sorsby currently has just a single option to keep playing football.
